Hello, I am Chris Norrie. As an inclusive design technologist, I apply iterative, user-driven design processes to research ways of improving access to augmentative and alternative communication tools and strategies for people with congenital or acquired communicative impairments.
I am currently a postdoctoral researcher with Stichting Ontwikkeling Onderzoek Kwaliteit Ondersteunde Communicatie, affiliated with Radboud University, Nijmegen NL. I am the principal investigator for the DACCO Project.
More broadly, my research interests include HCI, online accessibility and technology-assisted communication, particularly in the context of the sociotechnical milieu, and dynamic assessment. In my spare time I climb mountains when I can find any, and take photographs of them as depicted here.
